Who We Are
Food Rescue | Central West, are a collective group of food rescue agencies located across Central West NSW.
We need more help from large or small businesses or producers – and it’s so easy to be part of the rescue squad!
Find your local food rescue agency and drop-off point here and together we can stop food waste.
We are a group of small volunteer agencies supported by the NSW EPA.
Former Masterchef Kate Bracks explains why your excess food items are worth saving!
What We Do
We are gathering food items – close to best-by dated and fresh produce that would otherwise be thrown away – and distributing them to the local community.
Between the 17 organisations in the Central West, it’s estimated an average of 500 families per week are fed with donated food and food items.
We’re helping the community and reducing food wastage.

Donate
Donating to Food Care is a great way to ensure you don’t waste unsold, good quality food, and it means those in the community who need it can put it to good use instead of it being wasted.

Every little bit helps. The food that we’re getting in, is preventing waste. If we didn’t pass it on to people who can use it, it would be going to the tip. Every day it’s all fresh and the people we pass it on to really appreciate it.
“If we get more donations, we can help more people, it’s as simple as that”
